How did we get 140,000+ views and 165+ reposts on one post on X? 👇
We made an announcement on X this week and wanted to create real momentum around it.
There was one problem: I only have around 700 followers.
It looked like an uphill battle, but we made it happen.
Here are a few things that worked for us:
1. Nail the messaging
The message needs to be exciting and forward-looking, but incredibly simple. A 16-year-old and a 60-year-old should both understand it. Don’t write only for your ICP.
2. Create a great video
We obviously used PuppyDog.io to create the product video. (It took a few minutes 😄 ). The goal was to explain the product visually and quickly.
3. Pick the right timing
We aimed for Wednesday morning, around 8 AM PT, giving the post the entire day to build momentum.
4. Recruit launch supporters
We reached out to friends, coworkers, customers, partners, and supporters ahead of time and asked them to repost when we post.
5. Recruit influencers & creators
We worked with a handful of highly relevant creators rather than going for volume. We used Okara to help us get access.
